Founded in Rosevears in 1978, Tamar Valley Roses has grown from a single greenhouse in a suburban backyard—originally producing a variety of flowers—into one of Australia’s leading family-owned cut-flower businesses. Over more than 45 years, the Lee family has combined generations of floristry expertise, scientific knowledge and a passion for exceptional roses to build a thriving enterprise in Rosevears, Tasmania, supplying flower wholesalers across Australia. From becoming the Australian cut-flower agent for renowned French breeder Meilland—famous for garden roses such as Peace and Papa Meilland—to opening its own retail store in Launceston, Tamar Valley Roses has continued to innovate while staying true to its roots. Today, the business is led by the next generation, with siblings Megan and Andrew helping shape its future. Andrew runs the farm, where more than 1,000,000 stems of roses are now produced each year, while Megan leads the retail division, delighting recipients throughout Launceston and the Tamar Valley with beautiful floral arrangements for every occasion. Together with their dedicated team, they continue to share beautiful blooms and thoughtful floral gifts that help mark life’s special moments across the region.
